The Hair Style Randomizer helps you discover new hairstyles suited to your hair's unique characteristics. Whether you're looking for a fresh cut, a protective style, or something adventurous, this tool draws from a comprehensive database of men's and women's hairstyles spanning all hair lengths and types — from pin-straight (1A) to tightly coiled (4C).
Use the filters to select your sex, current or desired hair length, and your natural hair type. The randomizer will surface styles that genuinely work for your hair. Men also get a matching beard/facial hair suggestion to complete the look.
Type 1 (Straight): 1A — very fine and flat; 1B — medium texture with some body; 1C — coarse and thick.
Type 2 (Wavy): 2A — fine with a loose S-wave; 2B — medium waves with some frizz; 2C — coarse, defined waves prone to frizz.
Type 3 (Curly): 3A — loose, shiny S-shaped curls; 3B — springy, bouncy ringlets; 3C — tight corkscrew curls.
Type 4 (Coily): 4A — soft, defined S-coils; 4B — Z-pattern with less definition; 4C — very tight coils or zigzag with the most shrinkage.
